Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My husband Xavier and I are the proud parent’s of 2 ‘paw’some pups – Jack (German Shepherd) & Trigger (Beagle/Chihuahua mix)

Growing up as the middle of three girls in a single parent home in the mountains of East, TN taught me two things: 1) treat others the way you want to be treated 2) nothing is sacred in a house with three girls. Upon graduating high school, I attended The University of Tennessee, Knoxville where I earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and human resources. In 2017, my husband, Xavier, and I moved to the Upstate from our home in Knoxville, TN. Though we miss our family and the mountain views, the people of Greer have made an impact on our hearts and this is now our home.

Q: Please tell us about your current career. What do you love most about what you do?
The ability to use my talents for the benefit of others has always been my passion; therefore, I consider my career as an Edward Jones financial advisor a true privilege. I believe that it is important to invest my time in understanding what my clients are working towards before any money can be invested. Whether they’re planning for retirement, living in retirement, trying to protect the financial future of the ones they care for most, or have no idea where to start – I work alongside them to define and prioritize their needs and then partner with them throughout their lives to ensure they stay on track.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
The Farehouse – I love the Smoke Stack Pizza. // Select // Los Portales // Tipsy Taco //

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I have lived in Greer since January of 2019, but have worked in the community since September of 2017. It is truly an incredible place.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
That is a fantastic question – I have met far too many interesting people in our community to choose just one.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Well, after 4 months of being unable to travel due to Covid-19, anywhere would be nice – but it would have to be Africa. I am a sucker for a great adventure and what better adventure exists than a safari?

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
My favorite TV show is House M.D. – I am always appalled by his abrasive behavior but equally as fascinated by his genious.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
Give yourself permission to be human. No one is perfect and it is ok to make mistakes – however, it is not ok to give up because of them. The world deserves to see the wonderful things you can do.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
To become a mother.

Q: What is your go to band when you cant decide what to listen to?
Any 90’s country artist.

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
Any business at Taylor’s Mill. I love the story of taking something old and making it new again.

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
With everything going on in today’s world, I would choose Martin Luther King Jr. I would want to understand his thoughts on what is going on today and how best our society’s issues should be resolved. I would choose to have this lunch at my kitchen table as not to receive a single distraction.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
My favorite thing about our community is how accepting it is of ‘outsiders’. I, myself, was once an ‘outsider’ but have been accepted into the community with loving arms.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
Most people aren’t aware that I was once an extra on the television series, Nashville.

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
The most beautiful place I have ever been is located in my hometown in East TN, Watauga Lake. It is a man-made lake that is nestled between massive mountains. It is the perfect combination of God’s beauty and man’s genius.

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
Favorite month – October. Favorite holiday – Thanksgiving. Best single day on the calendar – whatever day the Tennessee Volunteers kick off football season.

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My mother.
