Jason Massey

Meet Jason Massey! Jason is kindhearted and has a passion for serving others. Jason is seriously fun when it comes to photography and videography.  I was born in MI, grew up in FL, lived in Alaska, California, and Michigan where I met my wife, Tara. We moved to SC in 2017 to pursue Photography and Videography full time while homeschooling our 2 children. We have a passion to serve others and effectively communicate the beautiful truth about a business and its leadership so it can thrive and flourish with creative brand building tools like photos and videos. 🙂 We started Dove Light Photography in 2012 just before we got married. I went to school for photography at Daytona State College. We love Greer, SC and look forward to many more happy years here serving the Upstate.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
We have 2 little adventurers and a puppy. Caleb is 10 years old and finds himself assisting in the studio and creating his own YouTube Channel called Caleb’s Creature Adventures. Eliana is age 6 and is often modeling for the camera, dancing and singing in the studio, or baking for her baking show!

Q: Please tell us about your current career. What do you love most about what you do?
We take our roles as Photographers and Videographers very seriously mixed with a lot of fun! Our role is vital…recording history, telling a story, spreading beauty, and above all valuing authenticity. We love pulling stories out of our clients in a way that reminds them of their passion and showing others the beauty of what they do.

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
I would have lunch with Annie Leibovitz, a world renown portrait photographer because her portraits have influenced my style and her experiences are intriguing to me as I continue to hone the art of photography and grow in this fascinating field.
