Greer is a city shared between Greenville and Spartanburg counties in South Carolina. The population was 32,102 as of 2018. Greer is a great place to live, work, and play! Founded in 1876, you’ll find the charm of small-town living conveniently close to all the amenities of a large city. With festivals, concerts, youth and adult sports programs, holiday gatherings and over 16 recreational parks and facilities, there is no shortage of fun opportunities for people of all ages. Located on the northern outskirts of Greenville proper, Greer is conveniently close to major highways for ease of traveling in and out of the state. Greer offers a complete range of housing options for its residents which includes; lake properties, golf-course homes, large estate homes, historic homes, single family starter homes, and townhomes. In Greer, there is something for everyone.

The Greer area has become one of the fastest growing cities in the state over the past decade—largely due to its abundance of land, transportation infrastructure, and location. Greer is home to the only BMW manufacturing facility in North America, the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport, and the Inland Port. BMW’s Greer plant employs about 11,000 people, and has attracted dozens of suppliers in South Carolina, providing jobs for thousands—increasing the need for housing and neighborhood developments. The South Carolina Inland Port is an intermodal facility that receives and sends containers by rail to the Port of Charleston. The town of Greer is actively working on a long term revitalization project that will entice more people to visit and live here. There is a strong sense of community and history in the town of Greer and was named the “Best Place to Raise a Family in South Carolina” in 2018. The Faces of the Greer was created to promote local businesses and continue to grow and develop community engagement and build relationships.
